Orlando, FL — Scheduled to open this December at Disney’s BoardWalk, Trattoria al Forno will feature handcrafted mozzarella made daily, cavatelli (small dumpling-shaped pasta) and a variety of Neopolitan-style pizzas baked in wood-burning ovens. The name Trattoria al Forno comes from the terms “trattoria” which is an Italian restaurant serving simple food, and “al forno” which is Italian for “food baked in an oven.”
Trattoria al Forno will showcase dishes from Italy’s various regions, including braised beef Bolognese from Bologna, semolina tagliatelli carbonara from Latium, and pork chop alla Milanese named after the city of Milano. You can also find classic Italian favorites, including whole roasted fish with roasted vegetables, baked lasagna, grilled steak, slow-cooked lamb shank with polenta, eggplant rollatini, and more.
The new restaurant will also feature over 60 Italian wines by the bottle and over 25 Italian wines by the glass. Conclude your meal with a delicious dessert including, tiramisù, lemon panna cotta, gelato, and Italian donut holes known as “bomboloni.” Reservations will be accepted soon for Trattoria al Forno. Trattoria al Forno will replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora which is set to close on September 30, 2014.
